The Unitarian Church Of Montreal Is Hereby Officially Recognized As A Center Of Learning On Ethical Issues. . .

In a blog post entitled 'Recognized as Centers of Learning on Ethical Issues' on her Nancy’s Views on the Landscape blog Nancy Heege says -

"A number of years ago, the Prairie Star District Board proposed Vision 2010, a vision for what our district could look like by 2010. The fourth goal was “a world which lives by UU principles.” One of the points under that goal was that “UU congregations are recognized as centers of learning on ethical issues.” While we have yet to see “a world which lives by UU principles,” we are making progress on the subpoint. Several congregations in Prairie Star District sponsor lecture series for the public, raising their profile in the community and inviting people into conversations about ethics, current events, and community life."

Here is my response to the above submitted as a comment to her "moderated" aka censored U*U blog -

Why would the rest of the world, i.e. the real world, want to live by U*U principles when so many U*Us, including U*U clergy and top level UUA leaders, abjectly fail and even obstinately refuse to genuinely honor and uphold U*U principles? Some U*U congregations, to say nothing of the UUA administration in Boston, could be recognized as centers of learning about what *not* to do on ethical issues. . .

end quote

Needless to say the Unitarian Church Of Montreal is amongst those U*U congregations that can serve as very public object lessons about what not to do on ethical issues such as anti-religious intolerance and bigotry, insulting and defamatory language and other verbal abuse, clergy misconduct, and censorship and suppression of legitimate criticism and dissent, to say nothing of other "less than ethical" behavior by outrageously hypocritical Unitarian*Universalist U*Us. The UUA administration at 25 Beacon Street in Boston hasn't done all that much better when it comes to responding to these and other moral and ethical issues in a manner that genuinely honors and upholds the Seven Principles and other claimed ideals of Unitarian*Universalism aka U*Uism. . .

Hence my picket sign slogan that says -

"CHURCH" OF THE IMMORAL MAJORITY
