Gee I was wondering who was that crazy old guy in front of the chapel.

And what exactly was "crazy" about that "old guy" in front of King's Chapel Boston Lawyer?

Do tell. . .

And sign your real name to your words while you are at it.

Let's see, scruffy guy standing all alone with handmade signs that only make sense to him. Yup, looks crazy to me.

Well just for starters BostonLawyer my "less than handmade" picket signs make plenty of sense to the general public and indeed Unitarian*Universalists. The Boston public and Montreal public certainly "get" my picket sign slogan that says -

UNSAFE SECT?

especially when it is closely associated with a second complimentary and explanatory picket sign slogan such as -

UNITARIANS AFFIRM & PROMOTE ABUSIVE CLERGY

or

U*Us PERVERT JUSTICE

or

A "CHURCH" THAT CONDONES "HATE SPEECH"

etc. etc. etc.

As far as my being "scruffy" goes, I happily admit that I could have used a haircut, indeed I tried to get one done before heading down to Boston, but time constraints and budgetary constraints caused me to forgo the haircut. My short beard is no more "scruffy" than that of UUA President Peter Morales, or any number of other bearded U*U clergy. I am not so sure that the people at King's Chapel would appreciate your suggestion that their very nice $18 T-shirt is "scruffy" nor would Levi's jeans appreciate you describing their black boot-cut jeans as "scruffy". In any case, it is quite a "leap of faith" for you to jump to the conclusion that I am "crazy" just because my appearance was moderately "scruffy". In fact I consciously chose the fate of appearing moderately "scruffy" as a subtle protest against Big Fat U*U Classism. . . I dare say that my appearance was not much more "scruffy" than that perennial favorite of many U*Us documentary film maker Michael Moore. Do enjoy *my* U*UTube documentaries of my Boston TEA Party.

Don't U*Us just love "less than excellent" lawyers who couldn't argue their way out of a wet paper bag if their life depended on it?

FYI - King's isn't Unitarian Universalist, it's Unitarian Christian.

I am aware that King's Chapel presents itself as a Christian oriented UU church and that its church services are largely modeled on Anglican rites. Its orientation may well be "Unitarian Christian" as you say but it is a bit disingenuous for you to claim that King's Chapel "isn't Unitarian Universalist." King's Chapel is certainly a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. UUA Moderator Gini Courter remarked -

"I see you've been to King's Chapel."

in a manner that indicated that she was quite familiar with King's Chapel, possibly even to the point of attending some services there, so I am pretty sure that she considers King's Chapel to be part of the U*U fold as it were.

King's is affiliated with the UUA, but most UUs are familiar with us as the origin of Unitarianism in the USA. We are not Universalist.

I understand that. King's Chapel is a Christian oriented Unitarian church that is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations. N'est-ce pas?
