The Emerson Avenger

The Emerson Avenger is a "memory hole" free blog where censorship is scorned. This blog will "guard the right to know" about any injustices and abuses that corrupt Unitarian Universalism. Posters may speak and argue freely, according to conscience, about any injustices and abuses, or indeed hypocrisy, that they may know about so that the Avenger, in the form of justice and redress, may come surely and swiftly. . . "Slowly, slowly the Avenger comes, but comes surely." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

In 1992 I underwent a profound revelatory experience of God which revealed that the total solar eclipse "Eye of God" is a "Sign in the Heavens" that symbolizes God's divine omniscience. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan of the Unitarian Church of Montreal contemptuously dismissed as my "psychotic experience" here: http://revelationisnotsealed.homestead.com - This revelatory religious experience inspired me to propose an inter-religious celebration of Creation that would take place whenever a total solar eclipse took place over our planet. You may read about what Rev. Ray Drennan and other leading members of the Unitarian Church of Montreal falsely and maliciously labeled as a "cult" here: http://creationday.homestead.com - I am now an excommunicated Unitarian whose "alternative spiritual practice" includes publicly exposing and denouncing Unitarian*Universalist injustices, abuses, and hypocrisy. The Emerson Avenger blog will serve that purpose for me and hopefully others will share their concerns here. Dee Miller's term DIM Thinking is used frequently and appropriately on this blog. The UUA aka Unitarian Universalist Association Of Congregations Shoots Itself In The Foot Big Time. . .

Looks like the Unitarian Universalist Association Of Congregations
rather foolishly decided to bring out the heavy artillery yesterday. . .

How unfortunate that the UUA's "big guns" were,
and still are. . . aimed squarely at it's clay feet.

More about this truly moronic accusation brought against me by the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, by way of a very recent legal letter aka "mis en demeure" courtesy of the UUA's Canadian attorneys Stikeman Elliott LLP Barristers & Solicitors, that I am somehow guilty of committing the "obsolete" crime of blasphemous libel for daring to publicly share my concerns about certain "less than  excellent" Unitarian Universalist ministers who are in fact guilty of committing such "despicable crimes" as pedophilia and rape on The Emerson Avenger blog later. . .

Indeed U*Us U*U World-wide can look forward to seeing a good number of upcoming blog posts dedicated to dealing with this and other highly questionable accusations brought against me by the Unitarian Universalist Association in the coming days, weeks and months.

Some time back I wrote something then did not end up posting it and wanted to correct that now. I was simply responding to your invitation at some point for honest reactions to the UUA invoking a blasphemy law and charging you with Blasphemy. Simply put it strikes me as terribly disingenuous given who we are and the history and identity we prize even going so far as to proudly sport T-shirts declaring us a religion of and for heretics. I have taken pride that in the Hosanna Tabor case before the US supreme court the UUA unlike so many other religious bodies and organizations chose not to support the defendants who were trying to build a case to expand the licence available to religious organizations as employers to evade the consequences of having violated the law when they illegally fired a teacher because of a medical condition and in a retaliatory manner since it was an action taken following a medical leave of absence. Most churches that lent their support did so on behalf of the school joining in on the case that would in fact be decided in the schools favor and further shelter church and other religious employers from being held accountable to employment laws even in instances where these institutions have adopted policies and made contractual promises to not discriminate and act fairly with their staff. I was proud because the UUA alone entered with the teacher as a co-plaintiff and rather than making a bid for greater institutional autonomy stood for what was fair and just and demonstrated integrity by recognizing that the case was not dealing with wrongful control of religious teaching and practice even if such a case could be made for self serving ends. In Your case that same commitment to act with integrity in relation to the law is not so clear. And as I said before instead the Association seems to have used a law they would never support being adopted in the first place to achieve some end they desire. It means very little I am sure but for my part regret that this was done.

Thanks for your comment expressing regret for the UUA's misuse of blasphemy law. I should point out that I have not actually been charged with the archaic criminal act of blasphemous libel, I have only been falsely accused of it in the cease and desist demand letter that this blog post called attention to the day after I received it in my email inbox. The UUA would find itself in even bigger trouble than it already is if it attempted to have me charged with that crime. The accusation is completely false and would result in me bringing public mischief charges against the UUA if it made a false report to the police in an effort to have me arrested and charged.

The end that the UUA desired in falsely accusing me of blasphemous libel should be obvious. The UUA wanted to intimidate me into removing blog posts about Unitarian Universalist sex offenders so as to hide pedophilia and rape committed by Rev. Mack Wallace Mitchell & Richard Buell, to say nothing of other U*Us who are guilty of engaging in what the UUA's lawyer describes as "such despicable crimes as pedophilia and rape." The UUA's false blasphemous libel accusation is not only a shameful betrayal of Unitarian Universalism's tradition of opposing blasphemy laws, but an immoral, unethical, borderline criminal (in that a false report to the police would be an act of public mischief) and just plain foolish attempt to cover-up and deny the worst forms of UU clergy sexual abuse. It is bad enough that the Rev. Dr. Peter Morales UUA administration attempted to misuse Canada's blasphemy law to hide UU pedophilia and rape, but the UUA's obstinate refusal to formally withdraw this false accusation, publicly apologize for it, disclose the Truth about UU clergy sexual abuse, and hold UUA leaders and staff accountable for this legal bullying is a clear indication that the UUA is thoroughly corrupt.
