Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Quotations And Unitarian Universalist Injustices, Abuses, Hypocrisy AND Stupidity - What's The Connection?

How about this updated and annotated version of this 6 year old blog post? Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Quotes Pertinent To U*U Injustices, Abuses, Hypocrisy, And Yes. . . Stupidity

There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.

Freedom is never voluntarily given by the Unitarian Universalist oppressor(s); it must be demanded by those oppressed by Unitarian Universalists.

Unitarian Universalists who passively accept evil are as much involved in it as U*Us who help to perpetrate it. Unitarian Universalists who accept evil without protesting against it ARE really cooperating with it.

Unitarian Universalist lives begin to end the day corpse-cold Unitarians become silent about things that matter.

Unitarian Universalists will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad Unitarian Universalists but for the appalling silence of the "good" Unitarian Universalists.

Unitarian Universalist progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals like that Transcendentalist Super Hero known as The Emerson Avenger.

Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the UU World better, but every now and then the creative dedicated minority such as Peacebang or Stikeman Elliott Barristers & Solicitors litigation lawyer Maitre Marc-André Coulombe has made the UU World worse. . .

The hope of a secure and livable UU World lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace and brotherhood.

Unitarian Universalist salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted Transcendentalist Super Hero known as The Emerson Avenger.

Transcendentalist Super Heroes who engage in nonviolent direct action are not the creators of tension. We merely bring to the surface the hidden tension that is already alive.

Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of Big Fat U*U Evil Spirit known as Peacebang. Peacebang not only chooses to anally impale a man on the Statue of Liberty's torch, but Peacebang chooses to kick people in the teeth.

Law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice and when Canada's blasphemy law FAILs in this purpose it has become the dangerously structured damnation that blocks the flow of social progress.

An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the Unitarian Universalist community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.

Rarely do we find Unitarian Universalists who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost Unitarian Universalist quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some Unitarian Universalists more than having to THINK.

A nation or civilization, or indeed a Tiny Declining Fringe Religion that continues to protect hard-nosed women, to say nothing of soft-minded women. . . purchases its own spiritual death on The Emerson Avenger's installment plan.

Nothing in all the UU World is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

The time is always right for Unitarian Universalists to do what is right.

Take the first step in faith. UUs don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

If Unitarian Universalists are to go forward, Unitarian Universalists must go back and rediscover those precious values - that ALL reality hinges on moral foundations and that ALL reality has spiritual control.

When UUs are right UUs cannot be too radical; when U*Us are wrong, U*Us cannot be too conservative.

The limitation of Big Fat U*U Riots, moral questions aside, is that they cannot win and their participants know it. Hence, Big Fat U*U Rioting is not revolutionary but reactionary because it invites defeat. It involves an emotional catharsis, but it must be followed by a sense of Big Fat U*U Futility.

We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same U*U Boat now.

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as Big Fat U*U Fools.

We must build dikes of courage to hold back the flood of fear of The Emerson Avenger.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Whatever affects The Emerson Avenger directly, affects ALL Unitarian Universalists indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until U*Us are what U*Us ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.
